Amy Riley, Coppell Sweetheart Dance & Drill Team Director

Amy Riley is an award-winning choreographer and has been teaching dance for 18 years. Her love for teaching and her desire to give girls ages 10 - 18 a place to develop their drill team skills before, during and after high school, has been the cornerstone of The Coppell Sweethearts. Amy has received numerous choreography awards and continues to bring unique dances to competition each year. She has taught many styles of dance such as modern, jazz, tap ballet, prop, novelty, high kick, military, and pom.

Amy has worked for area dance stuios including Coppell House of Dance, Miss Billye's School of Dance, Top Hat Dance Centre, Dancin' Feet, Collin County Community College Dance Team, Prestonwood Christian Academy Drill Team, Showtime Productions and the Coyle Middle School Drill Team. Amy is also the former directorof the Silver Stars JV Drill Team at Coppell High School. Amy has performed with such teams as the Lakeview High School Liberty Dolls, Lakeview High School Sweethearts, and Navarro College Showstoppers. She also danced with the Collin County Community College Dance Team and was honored to be a part of the Texas Womens University Dance Team where she held the position of captain in 1995.

Although Amy is a solid instructor in numerous styles of dance; her preferred style of dance is drill team. Amy has had a very high percentage of girls go on to make a high school drill team, after taking her drill team prep class or participating as a member of the competititve Sweethearts Drill Team.
