Texas Dreams Gymnastics Collects Toys at Annual Parents' Night Out Event
COPPELL - Texas Dreams Gymnastics at EveryBody Fits held their annual Toys for Tots - Flip 'N Fun on Saturday, December 1. Kids came to EveryBody Fits for a night of fun while parents enjoyed an evening. Entry to the annual event was one un-wrapped toy to be donated to the Toys for Tots campaign. Over 50 toys were collected and delivered to kids who might not otherwise receive presents.(more)

Local Gym Provides the Most TOPS Gymnasts in National Testing
COPPELL -Susie Smith, 9, made this year's TOPs National Gymnastics Team and earned the right to train at Bela Karolyi's Ranch in Houston, Texas. Smith is from ABC Gymnastics in Indianapolis, Ind., and trains 25 hours per week. She's coached by Joe Gym, who said, "Susie is incredible. She's such a dedicated, hard working gymnast. She's very focused and it's great that she's in the top 20 kids for her age group in the country." (more)

Texas Dreams Gymnast Finishes Fourth at Championships of the USA
COPPELL - Chelsea Davis, 14, from Lakeway, Texas was recently ranked fourth (in the junior division) in the nation at the Championships of the USA in San Jose, CA. (more)

Coppell Gymnasts Bring Home Medals From the State Games of America
COPPELL - Eight local gymnasts from EveryBody Fits traveled to Colorado to compete in the State Games of America, August 2-5, 2007. Daniell Lowry, Level 4, received the silver medal on beam with a 9.575 and had the second highest beam score out of all age divisions. Megan Montgomery received the Bronze medal on bars. Three places - Gold, Silver, and Bronze - were given for each event.(more)

Texas Dreams Places Most Athletes On TOPs National Team
COPPELL - Nine gymnasts from Texas Dreams Gymnastics recently made this year's TOPs National Gymnastics Team and earned the right to train at Bela Karolyi's Ranch in Houston, Texas. Texas Dreams Gymnastics at EveryBody Fits had the most athletes represented that made the prestigious team. Kim Zmeskal-Burdette and Chris Burdette coach the magnificent nine approximately 25 hours per week. The athletes include Grace Quinn,7, from Arlington; Kennedy Baker, 11, from Lewisville; Katherine Campbell, 9, from Highland Village; Allison Cary,9, from Coppell; Kyleigh Compton,11, from Southlake; Ellie Heppes,11, from Coppell; Meg Howard, 9, from Coppell; Ashton Kim, 9, from Westlake; and Allyson Nied, 10 from Coppell. Texas Dreams Gymnast Helps USA Team Win Top Titles at Junior Pan American Competition
COPPELL – Chelsea Davis, 14, from Lakeway, Texas recently represented the United States at the Junior Pan American Championships in Guatemala City, Guatemala. In the recent competition that took place November 24-25, Davis placed 3rd in All-Around, 2nd in Balance Beam, and 1st in Team. USA won both the women's and the men's team titles at the competition that is governed by USA Gymnastics. (more)

Coppell Sweethearts Drill Team Gets Involved with City Activities and Community Service
COPPELL -The week before Halloween, the Coppell Sweethearts Drill Team donned their favorite costumes and went door-to-door in neighborhoods in Coppell trick-or-treating for canned goods. The Sweethearts collected 80 cans of food and 56 rolls of toilet paper that was, in turn, donated to CCA.(more)

Local Ironman (woman) Finisher Leads Family With a Fitness Focus
COPPELL – Local Coppell resident, Kuay Sullivan, believes in making lists and checking off the important "to-dos" one by one. In June, this super-organized mother of two was able to check off a biggee. She crossed the finish line at the Ironman Triathlon in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. (more)

Local 8-year-old Stars in Feature Film with "The Rock" and Credits Local Acting Coach with Success
COPPELL – Madison Pettis, 8, from Arlington, appears in the latest Disney movie titled The Game Plan starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson that opens in theatres this weekend. Pettis, who auditioned in L.A. along with hundreds of children across the nation, plays Peyton James who is the daughter of "The Rock." (more)

Award-Winning Coppell Community Drill Team Finds a Home at EveryBody Fits
Coppell – The Coppell Sweethearts, the city's community, competitive drill team, has found a permanent home at EveryBody Fits. The award-winning drill team kicked off the partnership with their season opening training camp August 20-24. (more)

Local Athlete Continues Flawless Winning Streak
COPPELL – Local athlete, Tucker Ribman (8), from the NTA Taekwondo Center at EveryBody Fits, continues a winning streak that spans three and a half years. Returning home from the 2007 U.S. Senior National & Junior Olympic Taekwondo Championships in San Jose, California in July, Ribman brought back gold for the third year in a row — a first in USAT history. COPPELL – For the second consecutive year, Texas Dreams Gymnastics has the highest number of gymnasts on the Talent Opportunity Program (TOP) National Team. Ellie Heppes, 10, Allyson Nied, 9, Allison Cary, 8, and Meg Howard, 8, all of Coppell; Reagan Campbell, 8, and Madison Turner, 8, both of Flower Mound; Ashton Kim, 8, and Cameron Blaies, 7, both of Colleyville; Kyleigh Compton, 10, of Southlake; and Gena Pitts, 10, of Highland Village, qualified for the team. Flower Mound Gymnast Succeeds During First Competitive Meet
COPPELL – Bailey Hollier, 9, of Flower Mound, started her first competitive gymnastics season with a bang, placing second in the all-around at the levels 2-6 district qualifier. (more)

EveryBody Fits Takes On Sign Language for Babies, Music, and Culinary Arts
COPPELL – EveryBody Fits will be expanding its program offerings to meet even more of their customers’ needs. As of mid September, EveryBody Fits will offer the Baby Signs® Program (sign language for babies), Lorenzo’s Bassment (music), and The Mixing Bowl for Kids. (more)

New Classes Teach Parents How to ‘Talk’ with Their Babies
COPPELL – Babies have so much to say – but without words, communication can be frustrating! Now there’s an effective way to avoid those tears and tantrums by teaching babies how to ‘talk’ with their hands using the Baby Signs® Program. Simple signs allow babies and toddlers to communicate what they see, what they need, and even how they feel. As of Sept. 16, EveryBody Fits in Coppell will be offering Baby Signs® workshops and classes. (more)

Art House Coppell on the Move
COPPELL – Art House, located in Old Town Coppell, is joining facilities with their sister location at EveryBody Fits on Sept. 5. In addition, Art House summer camps, which were previously hosted at the Coppell YMCA, will now be exclusively available at EveryBody Fits. The new combined location will provide Art House at EveryBody Fits’ members with a wider selection of year-round activities and curriculum. (more)

Local Gymnast Wows Crowd, Wins Two National Titles
COPPELL – Kalon Ludvigson, 18, from Plano, accomplished an almost unthinkable feat during the 2006 Trampoline & Tumbling National Championships – he won gold in the senior men’s division on the double-mini trampoline and tumbling events. An athlete has not won gold on two events in this championship since 1998. (more)

Local Gymnast to Represent U.S. at World Cup in Germany
COPPELL – Kalon Ludvigson, 18, from Plano, has been selected as one of only four gymnasts in the country to represent the United States at the World Cup Trampoline & Tumbling event in Salzgitter, Germany, in September. (more)

Local Gymnasts First Year of NCAA Competition Proves They’re Just Getting Started
COPPELL – Tiffany Tolnay, 19, from Grapevine, and Brittany Magee, 18, from Arlington, made quite the impression during their first year of NCAA competition. In addition to their stellar individual performances, Tolnay helped her University of Georgia (UGA) team to its seventh NCAA national title as they went undefeated for the season, and Magee contributed to her University of Alabama team’s third place finish in the NCAA Super Six Team Finals. Local Team Takes State in First Year of Competition
COPPELL – Dylan Schnurman, 12, of Coppell, Conner Clark, 12, of Coppell, Andre Harrington, 15, of Coppell, Kyle Wilson, 13, of Coppell, Grady Bernard, 12, of Coppell, and Harrison Davis, 12, of Flower Mound, were named team state champions at the Level 4/5 Gymnastics State Championships. Schnurman, Clark, and Harrington were also named North state champions in individual events. The state meet marked the end of the boy’s first competitive season. (more)

Art Contest and Show Highlights Local Art Talent
COPPELL – Art House at EveryBody Fits hosted its third annual art contest and show April 3-8. It allowed area students to showcase their artistic talents while raising funds for their school’s art department. (more)

Local Taekwondo Athletes Master Regional Invitational
COPPELL – Local athletes from the NTA Taekwondo Center at EveryBody Fits dominated during a regional invitational in Wichita, Kans. Of the 93 students who represented the NTA Taekwondo Center, 100 percent placed in the top three of their respective belt, weight, and age divisions. (more)

Young Gymnasts Crowned State Champions and Head to Regionals
COPPELL – Chelsea Schray, 14, of Carrollton, and Rachel Spicer, 11, of Highland Village, were crowned state champions during the 2006 Level 8 Texas State Championships. They, along with teammates Regina Romero, 11, of Carrollton, Kelsey Aucoin, 12, of Double Oak, and Maddie Kaeppeler, 12, of Flower Mound will advance to regional competition on April 8-9 in Wichita, Kan. Local Cheer Squad Heads to Nationals
COPPELL – Texas Flyers Cheerleading’s Junior Flyers squad heads to Nationals next month in Dallas. They received an invitation to Nationals while competing – along with 150 other teams from all over Texas – in the 9th Annual Pro Spirit Holiday Challenge in Dallas. (more)

Local Athletes Come Home as Nationals Champions
COPPELL – July 6, 2005 Local athletes from the NTA Taekwondo Center at EveryBody Fits were crowned national champions during the 2005 National Junior Olympics in San Antonio, Tex. Out of the 66 students who represented the NTA Taekwondo Center at Nationals, 16 became national champions, and 62 medals were brought home. (more)

Local Gymnast Triumphs with a Broken Record at the Women’s Junior Olympic (JO) National Championships
COPPELL – May 17, 2005 Tiffany Tolnay, 18, from Grapevine, concludes her club gymnastics career with Texas Dreams Gymnastics on top in the all-around competition during the 2005 Women’s JO National Championships. Her all-around score of 38.975 was not only the highest score of the competition, but it now has been added to the Women’s JO National Championships record book as the highest all-around score in competition history. Local Athletes Dominate State Taekwondo Championships
COPPELL - April 13, 2005 Local athletes from the NTA Taekwondo Center at EveryBody Fits brought home 43 gold medals from the Texas State Taekwondo Championships. At the top of the victorious athletes were brother and sister Kacy and Vatti Howe of Coppell. Kacy, 15, and Vatti, 16, are both black belts and won their respective divisions of the 14 to 17-year-old Poomse and Gyoroogi competitions. (more)

Gymnasts to Compete at State Meet and Qualify for Regional Competition
COPPELL - March 14, 2005 More than 1,000 athletes, coaches, judges and parents from all over the state will be coming together to watch as the state’s top Level 9 & 10 gymnasts compete and qualify for regional competition. Level 9 & 10 gymnasts are on the cusp of the Elite/Olympic level, so this will be an exciting demonstration of gripping gymnastics action! (more)

Local Gymnast Member of Winning U.S. Gymnastics Team
COPPELL – March 3, 2005 Brittany Magee, 16, of Coppell, was an integral part of the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team that won the North American Tri-Meet Competition held in conjunction with the 2005 American Cup. The U.S. Women’s team defeated Canada and Mexico in the event at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York. (more)

Local Gymnasts Near Perfection in All-Around Championship Performances
COPPELL – February 24, 2005 Tiffany Tolnay, 17, from Grapevine, Lauren Stamper, 14, from Fort Worth, and Regina Romero, 10, from Carrollton, captured the All-Around titles in their respective age groups at the Kurt Thomas Gymnastics Invitational February 19-20. (more)

Local Gymnast Finishes at the Top During USA /Japan Friendship Competition
COPPELL – January 26, 2005 Brittany Magee, 16, from Coppell, won the All-Around title during the Women’s USA/Japan Friendship Competition. Magee, along with five other American gymnasts, was invited to the Women’s National Training Center in New Waverly, Texas, to compete as the USA team in a competition against Japan. (more)

COPPELL - December 28, 2004 Anna Goldblatt, 10, from Coppell, Brittany Franklin, 9, from Carrollton, Regina Romero, 10, from Carrollton and Cole Sander, 9, from Roanoke, recently got the chance to train with the USA Gymnastics National Team Staff at the famed Karolyi Ranch in Huntsville, Texas. COPPELL - November 16, 2004 EveryBody Fits is giving parents the night off for a good cause. More than 300 children are expected at the second-annual Parents’ Night Out benefiting Toys for Tots. COPPELL - November 11, 2004 Nicole Felley, 17, from Flower Mound, signed a national letter of intent to attend Utah State University (USU) on a full gymnastics scholarship during her signing party on Wednesday, November 10, at EveryBody Fits.
